Actually yes. It was one of those flavored beers. I forget the name but I know the flavor was like peach or tropical something along those lines. The bottle was clear and the beer was actually bright orange in color so I was really unsure about the taste, since it kind of also had a different smell to it. But once I tried it I kind of liked it. It wasn’t my favorite but it was tolerable enough especially for it being the only kind within walking radius (I was upnorth at my girlfriend’s uncle’s cabin and there were no markets nearby).
How about you?
Hope you all had a fun, safe and exciting St. Patty’s Day this weekend. St. Patrick’s Day is a great opportunity to catch up and do a little bit of drinking, especially of that green beer, during the evening with friends and have some good times to look back on! This weekend provided me with the opportunity to try a new beer. The new brew I tried is called Amber Ale and it is brewed by Dark Horse. Dark Horse is a local brewing company in Marshall, Mich. and I must say it is some of the best beer I have tasted in a while and it might just be my new favorite on Thursday nights, if the local bars have it. This beer was so smooth and dark, that writing this description makes me crave another. The first time I tried this beer it did leave me with a bit of a funny after taste. But, the next day I decided to try it again and that after taste was gone, leaving me with only one of the crispest beers I have ever had!
I am always open to trying new beers from around the world. If you have any you would like to share please comment on this and let me know. If I can find it I will try it.
Here’s to trying new things!
We are halfway through the work week! Have you had any good brews lately?
